Eliza Bast Director of The Point
Eliza Bast is the new Community Center director here at Centerpoint. She is a native of both Kalamazoo, MI and Puerto Rico. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1995, and went on to study at both Oral Roberts University and Bethel College to receive her B.S. in Organizational Management. Eliza loves having exciting experiences! She has jumped cliffs, swam in the oceans of Barbados at night, and loves horseback riding. She is an (almost) newlywed, having married her best friend E.J. in October of 2007. They met while EJ used her as a cover for an elaborate prank - seriously. Needless to say, they both love to laugh. Both EJ and Eliza can be found volunteering and mentoring in the community, as well as assisting in leading youth missions trips abroad. They LOVE to travel - and if the location has some adventure, history, and good snorkeling, it's the perfect place to be! Eliza enjoys her boisterous family - both here and in P.R. Coming from a typical Puerto Rican family that loves to read and connect with people. You can find everyone together on Sundays debating, cooking, praying and laughing. Community is a personal priority. EJ and Eliza are passionate about the Truth of Jesus Christ and being firmly rooted in the Word. They love sharing with and challenging believers to know and love what they believe. After two years at Third, they are excited about being a part of the family here!
