Welcome to the Library | |
Gretchen St John is our volunteer librarian whose goal for our library here at Third is to be one that is appealing to all potential users - students, adults, pastors, staff and even the community at some point! It should be an area where people can come together to fellowship and share knowledge. We want it to become a place where people like to congregate, share common interests and even develop relationships! |
Libraries are not just about the books that are stored there; it;s more about the people that come to seek and learn. The pursuit of knowledge is no longer limited by the books available in a library. Rather, it is a community-based center which needs to utilize those in our congregation that we sometimes don't consider as resource, when, in fact, they are our best source for information. These would especially include our seniors, parents and adults with special gifts, our children and of course the media (CDs, videos, internet, etc) availabilities that allow for all types of hands-on learning experiences in today's world. | |
